What I would recommend in fact is to wait about a week or two after your article has been fully distributed, and then run a search for your article in Google, searching on the article title in quotes (eg. “Your Article Title Here”). This will give chance for many sites to approve and publish your article, and for Google to have spidered some of those sites. Even this though is a fairly crude method – not all sites will have been spidered (it’s only been five days!), and some won’t have approved or published your article yet, even though they have received it. But it gives you some idea, and you’ll be able to see that your article is … ‘out there’ !

The article announcement lists within our distribution network consist of thousands of potential publishers. There are hundreds if not thousands of these lists in operation – but the only ones we are interested in are those that serve as article announcement lists. They were formed as a way to ‘announce’ your article to the subscribers of the list – both publishers and article authors subscribe to these lists, and many subscribers fit into both categories, i.e. they not only produce their own content for publication elsewhere, they are also interested in receiving content to publish on their own sites or elsewhere. Most of them are moderated, so that submissions are only distributed to all the subscribers of the list once they have been approved.
